After a 10 year career in journalism in New Zealand and the UK, he started a career in marketing with the REC in London, before going on to lead the marketing team at Client Server Tech Recruitment. He is also a professional photographer and hosts photography podcast The Shot, and his own marketing podcast We Need to Talk.
